Healthy snacks are an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. I am constantly raving about my favorite healthy snacks and today I want to focus on one in particular—almonds!
Almonds are delicious and easy to grab on-the-go. They are also the perfect protein-packed snack for vegetarians like myself and my son. Even more importantly, they are great for our health. Specifically, they are beneficial to one of the most vital organs—the heart!
Blue Diamond (one of my favorite almond distributors) recently had a variety of their almonds certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), which means that they are now labeled as heart-healthy foods. Since I am already a huge fan and frequent purchaser of Blue Diamond Almonds, this is just the icing on the proverbial cake.
