Hey there friends! How has your day been?
My day got off to a great start with breakfast at Jamba Juice. Did you know they now serve fruit + veggie smoothies? You know I was all over that!
Orange Carrot Karma Smoothie + Steel Cut Oats with Brown Sugar Crumble
My smoothie was made with fresh carrot juice that I watched them juice on the spot! Talk about dee-lish! Just what I needed after last night’s green beer! I had originally planned on staying in but I couldn’t resist when a good friend invited me over. We haven’t seen each other in a few months, so it was an all out gab-fest. A green beer fueled gab fest!
It took me forever to decide on a flavor—Orange Carrot Karma, Apples n’ Greens, or Berry UpBEET. One of each please?
Sam ordered a berry topper. Which I of course had to try for quality control purposes. It passed the test.
After Jamba Juice, I headed over to Dick’s Sporting Goods to find a festive green shirt for the St. Patty’s Day 5k on Sunday.
There were SO many options—which isn’t so great for this indecisive girl!
I accidently grabbed the Nike Tempo’s in a kids size—needless to say, they didn’t fit so well. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the same neon color combo in woman’s sizes—should I take that as a hint?
The winners? A Livestrong t-shirt and a new pair of cushioned running socks.
By the time I arrived home, I just had to have a snack before hitting the pavement. Jamba was great, but it didn’t keep me satisfied for long—probably due to the lack of protein.

Banana + Lemon Larabar
This is my go-to pre-run snack. It keeps me satisfied, but it doesn’t weigh me down or mess with my stomach!
I took the pup for a 1-mile walk (to allow my snack to digest) and then I jogged a hilly 4.25 miles in about 36 minutes. My neighborhood has some killer hills, let me tell ya. I felt like I was filled with sand while running up them!
After my run, I raided my parent’s kitchen and finished off their hummus (sorry guys!). First I had hummus and crackers, then I had a bowl of veggies topped with hummus and sweet n’ sour salsa.
Tasty, as always.
Now I’m off to take Adam and my niece to their school fun fair! The ‘fun fairs’ usually involve 3948 kids running around like crazies and screaming at the top of their lungs. Sounds like a good time, no? ;)
Dinner is undecided—but I’m hoping we end up at our favorite Thai restaurant. I’ve been craving some Pad Thai and coconut ice cream!
What are your plans for the night?
