Oh my gosh, messing with blog HTML (or any HTML, really) is so frustrating!
You may have noticed that I recently added a new commenting system to my blog called Intense Debate.
Well, when I added the Intense Debate widget, it somehow erased the “comment” link on my home page. So in order to leave a comment you had to actually click on the post title or the timestamp to see the comment field.
What it should look like:
What it looked like:
I spent three hours trying to fix the problem this afternoon. I googled it, added HTML, changed HTML, deleted HTML—pretty much everything under the sun and nothing would work!
Let me remind you that I don’t even know what HTML stands for (just googled it: hypertext markup language) and I am certainly not familiar with what all the mumbo jumbo means!
Finally (3 hours and many curse words later)—I realized I simply had to change the post options in blogger. I use live writer to post so this never occurred to me. Yep, that was a total FML moment.
The bright side? It’s now fixed, so hopefully I won’t have to mess with any more HTML for a while (a long while)! Maybe it’s time to take a computer class?
I think that deserves a little chocolate, don’t you? Warmed deep chocolate vitatop + almond butter.
On a better note, Adam’s team won their first soccer game!
Adam scored 3 goals! He’s improved so much over the past year. <—proud Mama right here!
Time to hit up the treadmill to sweat out some of my frustration. ![]()
Plans for the night:
- Dinner + a movie + red wine
Any movies that I need to watch?
What are your plans for the night?

Lesson of the day: when you’re frustrated with something, walk away and take a few deep, calming breaths. Come back refreshed and ready to tackle the problem! Thanks Tiff!
