It's official. I did absolutely nothing productive during the 9 hours I was at work today. At least as far as actual work goes.
If you count blog-reading, commenting, tweeting, Facebook stalking, and all-around web-surfing to be productive, then I had one hell of a productive day!
Don’t get me wrong, I adore all the aforementioned activities (especially reading blogs)—BUT they don't really make the cut in the productivity department.
Which means two things:
1.) I have much more work to do this weekend than I initially anticipated.
2.) I wish I had a time turner (a la Hermione Granger) so that I could go back and make use of the day. That way I could do all my favorite things AND be productive. Anyone know where I can get one of those?
Could all of you amazing bloggers just take a few days off so that I can catch up with my life. Mmmkay? ![]()
As far as eats go—well they were the usual packed lunch foods. Delicious, albeit uninteresting.
I'll spare you the details and give you the pictures instead. You know what they (they who?) say—pictures are worth a thousand words.
Well I suppose I’ll use a few words and tell you what’s in the bowl that you can’t see.
- 1/2 C. uncooked oats
- 1/4 C. peanut flour
- cinnamon
- chia seeds
I wouldn’t complain if my employers added some lighting that gave my food pictures a little more justice. Just sayin’.
I mistakenly thought I had some veggie burgers left in the freezer at work. Not so. This means that when I got back home I went straight for the kitchen.
Well I guess I lied. I can’t keep my mouth shut. Or my hands still? Whatever, I just can’t resist a running commentary.
While this looks to be a normal-sized apple, it is actually a big-as-my-head apple. Seriously, the rate at which apples are growing is getting a bit disturbing.
My more note-worthy snack was a new Eggplant Spread I picked up at Costco.
That ingredient list passes my standards. The ingredient list always makes or breaks my decision to buy new food products.
I dipped crackers in a side of eggplant spread + laughing cow + nutritional yeast.
I’m well aware that this looks like a pile of poo gross. But gross comparisons aside, it made my taste buds pretty happy!
It’s movie time! Sam and I are taking Adam to see Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
On the weekend agenda:
Saturday-
- Short, easy run in the morning
- Adam’s last basketball game
- Lunch of Adam’s choice
- Study, study, work, work
Sunday-
- 5k in the morning (!!) *fingers crossed for decent weather*
- Re-fuel with a yummy breakfast
- Laundry
- Library for my last big study session of the semester (!!)

What are your weekend plans? Do you find that social media/blogs sometime stall your to-do list?

I definitely feel ya on getting distracted by blogs! ...and my teachers think I'm texting, haha!
That eggplant dip looks (ok, well it sounds) delish! Good luck with your 5k :)
Blogging is a full-time job. Seriously, we should be paid for this. We make the world a happier place by blogging and commenting. :-)
