The Truth and Nothing But the Truth

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes!!

I promise you this will be the last post in which I mention my birthday, deal?

Remember when I said I bought myself the best birthday present ever?

Well I lied. I lied big time. I was gifted the BEST PRESENT EVER by my beautiful, thoughtful Mother. And my generous Dad of course!

You see my Mom is a loyal reader of this little blog and I guess I gave a few hints alluding to something I’d love to have someday. Key word: someday. It is way out of my price range and so I just thought “Hey, a girl can dream, right?” Wrong. My dream is now reality.

She handed me this white envelope with the words:

I tried to answer the question. I really did.

“Hmm…is it something to clear up my skin?” Yes, I really said that!

My Mom has always been one of those people who really does her research when it comes to presents. She doesn’t just buy any old thing, she buys something that is meaningful!

I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family. Smile

So after continuing down the completely wrong track in guessing, I finally just had to open the envelope.

Inside was a beautiful handwritten letter in my Mom’s perfect cursive.

What else was inside?

A receipt for an on-line purchase. For this:

It just so happened to arrive today!!

Let me just say this: I see homemade nut butter and homemade almond milk in my very near future. Any Vitamix recipe recommendations?

Breakfast was a DD Veggie egg white flatbread + pumpkin spice coffee waiting on my doorstep bright & early! Thanks again Mom!!!!

Lunch was eaten while running around campus. So no pictures of course!

It was nothing special: cottage cheese with chickpeas, a honeycrisp, baby carrots, and a chocolate chip cookie dough larabar.

Dinner was waiting for me when I got to my parents after school! Can everyday be my birthday? For real!

Malibu Pizza with Guacamole + Veggie (this plate times 2!) DELISH!

Followed by made-from-scratch pumpkin cake with homemade cream cheese icing. SmileA woman after my own heart.

So moist and delicious! Let me know if you want the recipe and I’ll be certain to get it from my Mama! :)

Family love <3

Have a great night guys!!

What is the BEST birthday present you’ve ever gotten? It could even be a simple card that meant a lot. It’s the thought that counts; it really is. :)

Your mom is so sweet! How cute. I think the best bday present is what I just received from my parents. They bought me the plane tickets to come to Korea for a 2 week vacation. I'm having an amazing time spending time with them. :)

The best birthday I've gotten...was a surprise package from a fellow blogger. It had homemade banana bread in it, a tote bag, a card, and some other random stuff. I loved the stuff, but I also was really, really touched that she thought to send a whole package to me! >__<

WOOOWWWW!!! you're sooo lucky you got a vitamix!! not gonna lie, i'm insanely jealous. your parents sound awesome. have you made anything in it yet? my blender is pretty good, even though it's really old. it does a great job at blending green monsters and making sure there are no spinach lumps (yuck!) but i hear vitamixes make them like silk!!

@eatspinrunrepeat I have to admit, my parents are pretty awesome! ;)

I used my vitamix this morning for my green monster, it was silky indeed!! And SO much better and faster than my bullet!
