Past & Present

Sometimes being a Mom is downright terrifying.

Without getting too personal, we had a little scare last night, which led to an almost-emergency room trip, and a super-scared Mama!

Everything seems to be fine now and I’ve already made up a check-up appointment with his pediatrician, so hopefully all is good.

Needless to say, I called off work today and I am home watching over my son like a Mama Hawk watches the nest. Smile

How was your night?

Starbucks espresso roast was my savior this morning.

And a delicious egg scramble filled my belly.

  • Spinach & Cherry Tomatoes sautéed in EVOO
  • 1 egg + 1 egg white (1 t. coconut milk added)
  • 1 oz. Goat Cheese
  • TJ’s Whole Wheat English Muffin (1/2 with cranberry apple butter, 1/2 with laughing cow cheese)

It’s almost Halloween, so I’d thought I’d do a little Flashback Friday, a la the beautiful Janetha.

Well I’m off to take advantage of having the day off and make some pecan butter in the Vitamix! Wish me luck!

Any tips for making your own nut butter? This will be my first time!

Have a great Friday guys!

I'm glad things are okay with your son. Never a good situation to be scared like that. Those flashbacks are adorable! I especially love the Captain Jack Sparrow costume.
