Let me just begin by saying that I really missed blogging these past few days!
This past week and weekend has been a whirlwind! Have you ever had one of those days where you can’t wait to get home and just do nothing? Yep, that describes my day today. And that is exactly what I plan on doing tonight! Vegging out, catching up on shows, and most importantly getting re-acquainted with that thing I call a bed! Sleep is one of my favorite things and it certainly got neglected this week!
But before I embark on this date with my neglected friend, I will show you some eats and a little recap of the past few days!
Saturday was my day to get everything done for Sunday’s party. So of course it had to start with something delicious:
Mmm, earthy :)
Wheat grass shot for me + Wheat grass shot for my Mama (Jamba Juice Style)
Organic steel cut oats made with soymilk, topped with brown sugar crumble. Seriously yum in my tum.
My mom had the same but she chose the berry topper. Mine was better for sure! ;)
Then we proceeded to go to about 6 stores, in the rain of course. Included but not limited to: Costco, Target, Wally World, Mrs. Fields, Bath and Body (had to get my house smelling so fresh n' so clean clean)
After the first few stores, I was in need of some caffeine, so I picked up a Fall favorite:
Yup, you guessed it. Starbucks Iced Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte. That second picture makes me oh-so-thankful that I have a hair appointment this month. Because boy do those roots a touch-up!
Sunday I awoke bright and early, and ran a quick mile on the treadmill to clear my head. Then it was prep time.
I tried (key word: tried) to take pictures of the food. But, one of my son’s friends came up and loudly asked: Are you taking pictures of the food? Why?? That’s weird!!
I sputtered, turned red, and said I’m not! And that was that. Defeated my an 8-year old, plain and simple. Next time, I'll be more courageous! ;)
I assure you that good food was eaten, good conversations were had, and when you get that many kids in one room, you know that laughs were shared!
I absolutely love that my son's birthday is in October! They always have so many cute Halloween party favors/plates/treats out in stores! Last year, we had a costume party and that was super fun as well!
Well I’m off to do nothing, see you in the AM with a normal (whatever that is) post. ;)
